Getting Started As An Amazon Affiliate by Mathlew Burkett

Getting Started as an Amazon Affiliate by Mathlew BurkettGetting Started as an Amazon Affiliate by Mathlew Burkett
Okay, so this isn't a book about blogging, obviously. However, if you would like to earn a commission from promoting products on your blog (without carrying any stock), then this new guide should be of great interest to you.

Getting Started as an Amazon Affiliate by Matthew Burkett is a low-cost Kindle e-book that is aimed at anyone who has little knowledge of the Amazon Associates program, and needs advice on what it is, how to add it to your blog, and how to generate sales and earn money.

Although this guide is relatively short at 18 pages, there is a lot of essential advice crammed into those pages. The writing style is clear and concise, and is also jargon-free. It's also a pleasant change to read a guide in which the author does not waste time by harping on about how he has gone from rags to riches and is making £1000's per month.

Right from the first chapter, you are provided with relevant information that will be of use to you. Some chapters are a little brief. For instance, I could have added many more excellent reasons for joining the program in the chapter Why Choose the Amazon Affiliate Program?

The chapters on generating sales are particularly useful and will enable you to craft your pages to maximize the conversion rate, which means more sales from your blog.

However, as the guide is aimed at the beginner, I would like to have seen more information on using the Amazon site stripe and widgets such as Native Ads, and also how to add the HTML code to your site, along with a few diagrams.

Nonetheless, any newbie to affiliate marketing should find this guide of great use, and given the low price, it's certainly worth the asking price.

Although some chapters could be a little more comprehensive, if you're after a quick and easy guide which covers most of the essentials, then this one is ideal for getting you started as an Amazon affiliate.

Mark's rating:

Pros

Solid, jargon-free advice
Ideal for affiliate marketing novices
Good advice on generating sales
It's cheap!

Cons

Lack of info on using Amazon Associates site stripe and native ads
Some chapters are a little sparse

Blogging Made Easy by Amen Sharma, Rumena Begum

Available in paperback and Kindle edition formats, Blogging Made Easy is aimed at both newbies and established bloggers, and will help you attract more visitors and increase online exposure.

It begins with a bio and case study of one of the authors, Rumena Begum, a fashion and beauty blogger based in London. There is also a case study of Katie Corio, an online fitness coach living in San Diego, although she's not listed as an author.

Okay, so there is an incredible amount of information to digest in Blogging Made Easy. However, the chapters are rather inconsistent in their depth of detail, with some areas covered comprehensively, and others just skimmed over.

There are a number of problems, too, with the freebie links no longer working, and there are a few grammatical errors, which is unacceptable from a team that are supposed to be pro bloggers. An update is needed to remove the Google + section and broken links.

This is certainly a book that newbie bloggers will find very usefu…

Write Blog Posts Readers Love by Henri Junttila

Write Blog Posts Readers Love has been out for a while now and, as I write, it's a best-seller on Amazon. I am pretty excited to have finally got my hands on a copy for review.

Henri is the owner of Wakeupcloud.com, a blog that aims to help people discover how to do what they love, and he has, so far, penned five books.

In this book, the author starts out by telling us how he always wanted to write and how he became overwhelmed and confused when trying to find something that worked. What do I write? How do I create a successful blog? We've all been there!

He aims to reveal everything he has learned while building his own blog and gaining tens of thousands of followers.

This book certainly lives up to its title, and is very well-written in a clear and concise manner. Each chapter is very comprehensive and packed with very inspiring and useful information. I certainly learned lots of new techniques to improve my own writing, and If you're a writer or blogger then you really …
